Carolyn Peeler
Carolyn describes her crafting style as Vintage-Modern, where the treasures from yesteryear combine with a streamlined esthetic. She is passionate about the concept that scrapbooking, at its core, is a medium to tell stories and history. She believes with all her heart that art has the power to heal and connect.
Although a creative child growing up, Carolyn was not
introduced to the modern incarnation of scrapbooking until 1997. She very
quickly fell in love and developed a passion for the hobby. With the
encouragement of family and friends, she began to pursue professional
opportunities within the paper crafts industry. She has been on the Chatterbox
Design Team, a product designer for Rusty Pickle and for the past 10 years has
been the Senior Creative Director at Melissa Frances. It is her dream job and
between designing product and teaching scrapbooking workshops, both at home and
abroad, she’s one busy girl!
In addition to being published in industry magazines and
Idea Books, she has been a contributing writer for the Canadian Scrapbooker
magazine, has self-published "Postmark:LA", an inspirational
collaboration featuring six authors, has written articles for Woman's Day and
the now defunct magazine Legacy and had her induction to live TV when appearing
on QVC in the UK promoting Melissa Frances products.
Carolyn’s love of travel has made her the perfect fit as
the international teaching specialist for Melissa Frances. Carolyn has taught
with fabulous reviews to students in: Canada, USA, France, Spain, Italy,
Norway, Russia, Poland, Colombia, Brazil, Panama, Israel and Sweden and is
always keen on expanding that list!
